Chemistry is an indispensable science and practice that exists in all areas of our life. Textile, automotive, medical, food, energy, plastics, pharmaceutical industries and many other fields are directly or indirectly linked to Chemistry. Chemistry, which has a wide range of applications and is an interdisciplinary science, always needs trained staff. For this reason I highly recommend all students to prefer studying Chemistry in our university. The goal of the Department of Chemistry is to educate creative chemists who are sensitive to the surrounding environment and who can think analytically.
Chemistry Department, which is in the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Architecture and Engineering, is one of the first two departments that started teaching in 2011-2012 academic year. Educational language is Turkish. Instruction and research activities are currently carried out by 1 professor, 2 associate professors, 3 assistant professors, 1 instructor and 4 research assistants.
Today, our department with its high quality academic staff and physical infrastructure, continues academic research and development activities to contribute to many branches of industry.
