Message from the Department Head

Dear Students and Distinguished Visitors,

We are honored that you have chosen to investigate our website in search of details regarding the undergraduate and graduate programs that our department provides. Metallurgical and Materials Engineering is a branch of science and engineering that comprehensively studies the properties, behaviour and production processes of all kinds of materials and aims to design, develop, and produce new materials.

Already-existing materials dictate the course of our world. Novel and advanced materials are contributing to the increased convenience of numerous products, machines, and technologies that we utilize on a daily basis. Today, the automotive industry has the capability to manufacture fuel-efficient, lightweight vehicle bodies. Fuel efficiency facilitates aircraft to travel quicker. Glass that is resistant to damage and extremely thin can be manufactured for use in tablet and smartphone displays.Biocompatible materials can be used to fix or substitute human body components in the biomedical field. It is possible to develop surgical adhesives inspired by nature for use in areas too small to suture. In actuality, the development of novel materials that can be applied across various sectors to address contemporary industrial challenges is an ongoing endeavor. In fact, the development of novel materials that can be applied across various sectors to address modern industrial challenges is an ongoing endeavor. Therefore, our department aims to teach undergraduate and graduate students how materials can be safely transformed into products that benefit humanity in many fields, from mineral processing to manufacturing. Our program prepares its students with a background that will enable them to work in various industries such as electronics, computers, biomedical, automotive, aviation, and transportation. The Metallurgical and Materials Engineering sectors offer employment opportunities to graduates of our department, including research and development (R&D) engineer, production engineer, project engineer, quality control engineer, product development engineer, and sales engineer.

We are confident that we will provide a quality engineering education to our students who will join our department with our strong academic staff and infrastructure. It would be our pleasure to have join us.

Sincerely yours

Head of Department
