BTU-IMEP is an educational model that was designed in collaboration with the industry and this model combines theory and practice with real-world industrial applications. Owing to BTU-IMEP, students can directly apply the academic knowledge and concepts they learn in school to the industry. Within the scope of the model, our students were given a special chance and they have the option to work as assistant researchers on an ongoing project with a faculty member at a university if they choose. Participation in the BTU-IMEP program for one semester during the fourth year is mandatory for our students. BTU-IMEP aims to equip students with the following qualifications:

• Acquiring early experience through establishing contact with the industry at an early stage

• Shortening the adaptation period to the industry after graduation

• Developing basic insights into determining their specialized area within the engineering sector

• Gaining priority in employment

• Ensuring the institutionalization of public-university-industry cooperation.
