Bursa Technical University, Environmental Engineering Department; was established in 2010 in accordance with the qualifications of our university as a research university. In the academic year of 2015-2016, 41 students were admitted to the undergraduate program.

Our department has 5 Professors, 1 Associate Professors, 4 Assistants Professors, 4 research assistants, and 2 research assistant Drs.  in the field of undergraduate and graduate education. 

Air Pollution Research Laboratory and Water-Wastewater Research Laboratory within the Environmental Engineering Department are both used by our faculty members for scientific research studies and meet the testing and analysis needs of public and private institutions.

Environmental fate and effects of permanent organic pollutants, determination of environmental fate of banned and modern pesticides, indoor and outdoor air quality, color removal from wastewater from textile industry, solution for wastewater treatment plant operation problems, persistence studies, and leachate treatment are the main research areas that are currently being studied by the department members.
